Gifts Honor Late Husband, Improve People’s Lives

Sarah Jane Victor

Sara Jane Victor made a gift to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation in honor of her late husband, Retired Air Force Col. (Dr.) Martin Victor.

On her journey with IBD, Sara Jane Victor has been a supporter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation for over 30 years.

She shares, “I was first introduced to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation by my mother. She attended a dinner in the 1960s and was seated with Suzanne Rosenthal (one of the Foundation’s founders). My mother was so impressed by what she saw and heard about the Foundation that she encouraged me to also become involved. This has continued until today. I am proud of the work being done and am happy to support it.”

In addition to her steadfast annual support, Sara Jane is a member of the Founders Society, a group of supporters who have made plans for the Foundation to receive a gift after their lifetimes—a planned gift to help us continue our mission.

In 2020, Sara Jane lost her husband of 56 years, Retired Air Force Col. (Dr.) Martin Victor. In his honor, she made a significant gift in support of the Foundation’s Camp Oasis program, something she knows would have pleased him.

Friends like Sara Jane Victor, who support the Foundation in different ways, make a significant and lasting impact on our mission-critical research, education and support programs.
