Ilene Schwartz

For more than a decade, Ilene Schwartz has been a strong supporter of the Foundation’s Michigan Chapter, with a passion for Michigan Camp Oasis. Mrs. Schwartz is herself a patient and local advocate from Metropolitan Detroit. She has served on the Michigan Chapter Board and has been a long-time supporter of the Chapter’s Movie Gala.

Throughout the years, Mrs. Schwartz has been an incredibly generous and steady supporter of Michigan Camp Oasis. She has donated more than $1.15M over the years, with the bulk of support directed to our camp program. Thanks to her support, Michigan Camp Oasis has served more than 1,500 campers in the past decade, creating a safe, supportive, and fun experience for children with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Mrs. Schwartz has personally visited Michigan Camp Oasis several times and offers hope and inspiration to the campers she meets.

The Foundation is humbled by her generous and selfless support of this incredibly special “oasis” for kids, and for her immeasurable impact on the chapter and national levels.
